About
Hello! My name is Daniel Ige, and I am glad you are giving me the opportunity to share my story. I am currently in my first year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology looking to double major in computer science and mathematics. I had a lot of fun in high school and spent most of my time leading clubs and organizations like our Black Student Union, FBLA, Investor's Club, and varsity basketball. As an MIT Student, I have been given the opportunity to really explore areas that were inaccessible to me before. I have tried a lot this year, traveling for club retreats and company visits, and attending many of the random events MIT has to offer. I am mostly focused on the classes that I am taking right now, with my favorite being Fundamental of Programming (6.1010), a class about developing skills with Python. Outside of classes, I spend a lot of time with the National Society of Black Engineers and with my undergraduate research, working on assisting the Department of Material Science to help automate their imaging process with Python!
